Provo Walk & Roll to School

Become a parent organizer

Start a walking bus or bike bus at your school

A walking bus is a group of kids and adults who walk to school together on a regular route and schedule; a bike bus does the same on bicycles. Both turn the trip to school into active time with friends and neighbors. Walking buses are usually the simplest option.

Why start one?

  • Kids start the day active and ready to learn
  • Families spend less time in the drop-off line
  • Neighbors build stronger connections

Three ways to begin

  1. 1Choose one or more days each week to walk or bike.
  2. 2Pick a route. A BikeWalk Provo volunteer can help. See below.
  3. 3Invite other families to join you.
